ESE ES-56 SMPTE/EBU/ESE to USB Converter
The ES-56 reads SMPTE/EBU LTC or ESE Time Code and delivers it to a computer over USB, powered entirely from the USB connection itself, so synchronizing a workstation's clock or pulling LTC into an editing timeline needs nothing more than the dongle and a cable. It runs in five DIP-switch or software-selectable modes: ESE Time Code, LTC Forward/Reverse with frames, and LTC Real Time in a choice of three date formats (Leitch, SMPTE 309M or ESE).
Error detection and correction are switchable, and time-sync software plus a Linux real-time mode ship with the unit, so it drops into both Windows-centric edit suites and Linux-based automation with the same hardware.
