Crestron CP4-R 4-Series Control Processor for Crestron Home OS
The CP4-R is the rack-mount processor built to run Crestron Home OS rather than a hand-written SIMPL program, which is what makes it the head end for a large residence, a home theater, a multiroom video system or an MDU. The 4-Series multicore CPU carries 4 GB of SDRAM, twice the CP4, plus 8 GB of flash and a 4 GB SDHC card already in the memory slot. It also speaks BACnet over IP for up to 2000 objects, so building mechanical systems can appear in the same interface as the lights.
The back panel is a full onboard control complement rather than a network-only design: eight normally open isolated relays at 1 A, eight Versiport digital/analog I/O ports, eight IR/serial outputs to 1.2 MHz with four IRP2 emitters included, and three COM ports with COM 1 selectable as RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485. A gigabit LAN port and a Cresnet server port cover the network side, and the Cresnet port passes 24VDC from the included PW-2420RU pack. A 6 ft USB console cable ships in the box for setup.
