Crestron IRP2 IR Emitter Probe
The IRP2 is the standard Crestron IR emitter probe: an infrared LED in a miniature black shell that adheres directly over the IR sensor window of a display, disc player or any other IR controllable device. It terminates in a 2-pin 3.5 mm detachable terminal block that plugs into a Crestron IR port, giving the control system a 1-way IR path to a piece of equipment that has no other control interface.
The integral cable runs 7 ft and can be extended to about 1000 ft with ordinary twisted pair when the equipment sits well away from the processor. An IR mask and two-sided tape ship with the probe; the mask blocks stray emission so an adjacent device in the same rack is not triggered by mistake. IRP2 emitters are included in the box with several Crestron processors and are ordered individually here for additional ports.
