Crestron HZ2-KPEX Horizon 2 infiNET EX Wireless Keypad

The HZ2-KPEX is the wireless keypad in the Horizon 2 line. It joins an infiNET EX mesh through a Crestron wireless gateway and controls lighting, shading, audio and scenes from the wall, with roughly 150 ft indoors to the nearest mesh device. It is also the remote half of a multiway circuit: wire it to the traveler of an HZ2 dimmer or switch and a three- or four-way run gets a full engraved keypad at the second location instead of a blank companion switch. Power comes from line voltage with a neutral, or from a SolaHD 60 VDC supply where a line feed is not available.

Nine push buttons sit under a Style 1 through Style 6 assembly, with five RGB backlights on a local color theme, an alternate theme available per position, and an ambient light sensor driving separate day and night backlight modes. On rocker styles, the center of the rocker does not actuate a button, so lay out the engraving accordingly. Standard models ship with default engraving; ENGRAVED models ship with your own laser-etched legends on the style you specify, and button assemblies can be reordered later if the room's functions change. An air-gap switch at the bottom of the device cuts power for service. Line, neutral and remote land on screw clamp terminals with a 12 AWG ground flying lead, and faceplates are the HZ2-FP-G series, sold separately.
