AKG CK99 L Cardioid Condenser Lavalier Microphone
The CK99 L is a cardioid condenser lavalier voiced for speech: natural through the midrange with a slight lift above 10 kHz that buys intelligibility without making a talker sound thin. The cardioid pattern is the reason to choose it over an omni lavalier in a live room, because it rejects the wedge or the ceiling speaker behind the wearer.
The capsule is 8 mm across and weighs 2.5 grams, so with the supplied metal clip it disappears on a jacket lapel or a costume, and a 1.6 m cable ends in a professional three-pin mini XLR that fits the bodypack transmitter of any AKG wireless system. It runs on 1.5 to 10 V at 2 mA, which covers both wireless bodypacks and a wired phantom adapter. A windscreen is included.
