AKG C3000 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone
The C3000 has been a fixture in live and studio work for decades: a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser that handles vocals, electric and acoustic guitar, drum overheads, and brass without fuss. Its cardioid capsule and controlled top end give a present, detailed sound that often needs little corrective EQ.
A switchable attenuation pad and a low-cut filter let it take sources up to 150 dB SPL and shrug off proximity buildup on close work, so it moves easily between a loud stage and a quiet vocal booth. The current C3000 pairs that workhorse capsule with a sleek, road-ready body and ships with the H85 universal shock mount.
