AKG C114 Large-Diaphragm Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone
The C114 steps up from a single-pattern condenser with a 26mm dual-diaphragm capsule offering cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-of-eight patterns, so one microphone covers solo vocals, room ambience, and interview or duet setups. The edge-terminated capsule design is drawn from AKG's C12 and C414 reference microphones, giving it a smooth top end and balanced midrange.
A transformerless FET circuit keeps self-noise low and dynamic range wide, and the body is machined from recycled metals and alloys. It runs on 48V phantom power over a standard 3-pin XLR output and ships with AKG's H84 shock mount.
