Violectric Niimbus US 5 PRO Reference Headphone Amplifier

The Niimbus US 5 PRO is the upper build of the cma audio reference headphone amplifier, carrying its own item number and an ALPS RK27 attenuator and volume assembly. The 60 V internal operating rail is unchanged, and it is the reason the amplifier can swing enough voltage for high-impedance headphones while still delivering the current that planar magnetostatic designs pull.

Internal gain is kept very small so the amplifier adds almost no noise of its own, and a low output impedance holds the damping factor high, which keeps the headphone frequency response intact rather than letting the amplifier shape it. The remote control and manual ship in the box.
