Violectric DHA V380 Squared Headphone Amplifier and DAC

The DHA V380 Squared is the RCA-input member of the Violectric DAC and headphone amplifier line. Three digital inputs cover optical and coaxial at up to 24 bit / 192 kHz plus USB at up to 32 bit / 384 kHz, with DSD 64 through DSD 256 handled over USB. Two unbalanced analog inputs on gold-plated RCA sockets take care of turntable stages, tuners and other line sources.

Playback runs through four transistor output stages per side, so a balanced headphone connection is driven truly balanced rather than bridged from a single-ended amp. PRE-GAIN trims internal gain in 7 steps so the amplifier can be matched to headphone sensitivity instead of forcing the volume control to do that work. The case is machined aluminum and the unit is built in Germany.
