Sony HDVF-EL30 0.7-inch OLED Viewfinder with 3.5-inch Sub-LCD
The HDVF-EL30 pairs the same 0.7-inch full HD OLED eyepiece as the HDVF-EL20 with an extra 3.5-inch quarter HD (960 x 540) sub-LCD. That second screen is the point of the model: a camera assistant, focus puller or director can watch the sub-LCD from a normal working distance while the operator stays on the OLED. A tally indicator and the camera number can be shown on the sub-LCD, and the panel can be flipped to face the lens side.
The OLED panel itself delivers quick pixel response for tracking moving subjects, high contrast and a wide dynamic range, and the specially developed optical loupe gives a long eye-point so the operator can sit back and still see the full frame. The displayed image can be downscaled from the menu or an assignable button to avoid vignetting. A foldable hood is supplied for the sub-LCD to cut reflections outdoors, and the viewfinder connects over the round 20-pin HDVF interface used by the F65, 4K/HD system cameras and shoulder-type HD camcorders.
