Softron OnTheAir WebLink Web-to-Broadcast Video Converter Software
OnTheAir WebLink converts live web content into a standard broadcast feed, using the same video engine as Softron's other OnTheAir applications. It renders HTML5 pages with transparent backgrounds for keying over other sources, and it can also carry full-screen video from YouTube, Twitch, or a webcam (non-HDCP content only) straight out to SDI, HDMI, SMPTE ST 2110, or NDI. One license covers up to four independent output channels, each with its own settings, aspect ratio, and frame rate.
It is built for resolutions up to 8K and supports external keying so a web-sourced graphic or ticker can composite into an existing production chain rather than replacing it. Softron recommends 4 GB of RAM as a minimum; version 1.2 and later require Apple silicon, while the 1.0-1.1 universal builds also run on Intel Macs, across macOS Big Sur through Tahoe. It cannot log into every Google service including YouTube's authenticated features, does not support HDCP-protected content, and needs an internet connection to activate its serial number.
