Softron M|Replay Instant Replay Software for Mac
M|Replay is Softron's software-defined replay platform: instant replay, officiating review, time-slip recording, delayed playout, and playlist building, all running on stock Mac hardware. While it is recording, an operator can jump back and roll an action that just happened using on-screen controls, keyboard shortcuts, or a hardware panel, and select the angle and playback speed on the way out. That covers both the broadcast replay position and the referee review monitor without buying a purpose-built replay server.
Markers drop on the timeline so an important moment can be found instantly; clips built from those markers chain into playlists for a highlight package that plays out immediately. Video I/O comes from standard AJA, Blackmagic Design, or Deltacast devices, so the system scales from one input and one output on a MacBook Pro up to high-density I/O on a Mac Pro. Recording is Apple ProRes only. Softron supports it on Apple silicon Macs with M1 Max or Ultra and M2 Pro, Max, or Ultra, and on the 2019 Mac Pro with an Afterburner card. Immersive replay workflows in ProRes and SMPTE ST 2110 environments are supported.
