Shure RPW116

The RPW116 is Shure's wireless SM87A replacement cartridge, a complete front-end assembly that restores or swaps the mic head on a Shure handheld wireless transmitter. It carries the SM87A supercardioid condenser element, its housing, and the matte grille as one unit, so a worn or damaged head comes off and a fresh one threads on without sending the transmitter for service. The supercardioid condenser voicing brings clear, detailed vocal reproduction with tight off-axis rejection to help control feedback.

Because it packages the cartridge, housing assembly, and grille together, the RPW116 also lets an owner convert a compatible handheld transmitter to the SM87A sound, or keep a spare head on hand for quick turnarounds between sets.
