Shure ULXD2-B87C
The ULXD2/Beta 87C is a handheld transmitter for Shure's ULX-D digital wireless systems, fitted with the Beta 87C cardioid condenser capsule. The condenser element delivers the detail and presence of a wired studio vocal mic, while the cardioid pattern keeps rejection tight for gain-before-feedback on stage. Running on the ULX-D platform, it puts out 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio with a flat 20 Hz to 20 kHz response and more than 120 dB of dynamic range, and AES-256 encryption keeps the channel private for corporate and broadcast work.
The rugged metal body carries a backlit LCD with an easy-to-navigate menu, plus frequency and power lockout to prevent tampering during a show. The mic cartridge is interchangeable with other Shure capsules, and the optional SB900B lithium-ion rechargeable battery delivers over 12 hours of runtime with precision metering in hours and minutes and zero memory effect. RF output is selectable at 1, 10, or 20 mW.
