Shure ULXD2/KSM9HS Handheld Wireless Transmitter
The ULXD2/KSM9HS is a handheld transmitter for Shure's ULX-D digital wireless, carrying the KSM9HS dual-pattern condenser capsule. Its two gold-layered diaphragms let a performer switch between a hypercardioid pattern, which delivers excellent gain before feedback and a focused low end, and a subcardioid pattern that opens up to a natural, roomy sound with reduced proximity effect. An advanced suspension shock mount keeps handling noise out of the signal, making it a studio-grade vocal capsule on a wireless body.
ULX-D carries the vocal as 24-bit, 48 kHz digital audio with better than 120 dB of dynamic range through the analog outputs, and Shure Gain Ranging matches the transmitter to any source without manual gain trims. AES-256 encryption secures the link, and the optional SB900B lithium-ion battery provides over 12 hours of runtime with metering in hours and minutes. A backlit LCD, mute mode, and frequency and power lockout complete the rugged metal transmitter.
