Shure QLXD2 KSM9
The QLXD2/KSM9 pairs Shure's QLX-D digital handheld transmitter with the KSM9 dual-pattern condenser capsule, a premium vocal head that switches between cardioid and supercardioid so a singer can dial in reach and rejection to match the stage. The transmitter sends transparent 24-bit audio with over 120 dB of dynamic range, so there is no gain to set, and one-touch IR sync grabs a clean frequency from a QLXD4 receiver in seconds and holds it across the 100 m (330 ft) working range.
The machined-aluminum body is built for nightly touring, with AES-256 encryption protecting the signal and a backlit display showing group, channel, frequency, or remaining runtime. It runs up to 9 hours on two AA batteries, or up to 10 hours on the optional Shure SB900A rechargeable battery, and its threaded capsule mount accepts other Shure heads such as SM58, Beta 58A, and Beta 87A if the voice calls for a different character.
