Sennheiser i40-L Gooseneck Microphone System
The i40-L is a table-mount gooseneck microphone system built around Sennheiser's ME 36 capsule, made for lecterns, boardrooms, and conference tables. The ME 36 combines a super-cardioid element with a short interference tube for a tight lobar pattern that holds the talker and rejects the room, nearby seats, and PA, giving a live system the gain-before-feedback margin a wide-open mic cannot. Its pre-polarized condenser capsule runs 40 to 20,000 Hz with very low self-noise for clean, intelligible speech.
The ME 36 and windscreen ride on an MZH 3040 gooseneck seated in an MZT 30 XLR table mount, and an MZS 31 shock mount isolates the capsule from table thumps and footfall. It terminates in a 3-pin XLR and runs on standard 12 to 48 V phantom power.
