Sennheiser i42-C Gooseneck Microphone System
The i42-C is a conference and lectern gooseneck set built around Sennheiser's ME 34 cardioid condenser capsule, the wide-pickup member of the family for talkers who move within the podium area. The cardioid pattern gives a more forgiving working angle than a supercardioid while still rejecting sound arriving from behind the mic, keeping speech natural and even. The ME 34 spans 40 to 20,000 Hz with low self-noise.
The set stands the microphone on a table: the ME 34 and its windscreen thread onto an MZH 3042 flexible gooseneck, which mounts in an MZT 30 XLR table base with an MZS 31 shock mount to isolate desk vibration. It connects on a 3-pin XLR and runs on 12 to 48 volt phantom power.
