Sennheiser MD 431-II Dynamic Microphone
The MD 431-II is a handheld dynamic vocal microphone built for the loud, feedback-prone stage. Its supercardioid pattern is exceptionally tight and consistent, giving it the monitor and PA rejection that lets a vocalist stand right in front of the wedges without howl. A dynamic capsule with a smooth, present response and a humbucking coil that cancels stray electrical noise make it a workhorse for lead vocals, speech, and broadcast.
The capsule is shock-mounted inside the body to keep handling noise down, and an integral pop filter tames plosives without an external windscreen. A silent reed on/off switch can be locked in the on position when you do not want performers touching it. The all-metal body terminates in a standard 3-pin XLR.
