Sennheiser EW-D SKM-S BASE SET Digital Wireless Handheld System (No Capsule)

The EW-D SKM-S BASE SET is the handheld foundation of Sennheiser's Evolution Wireless Digital line, sold without a microphone capsule so you can finish it with the head that suits the job. It pairs the EW-D SKM-S handheld transmitter, which accepts Sennheiser's interchangeable MMD and MME capsules, with the half-rack EW-D EM receiver in a rugged all-metal chassis. Buying the base set lets a house of worship, venue, or rental house standardize on one wireless platform and swap capsules per performer.

The digital transmission is the same across the EW-D range: 24-bit audio with a flat 20 Hz to 20 kHz response, a 134 dB dynamic range, and 1.9 ms of latency. With 56 MHz of tuning bandwidth on an equidistant grid, the system supports dense multichannel setups, and Bluetooth Low Energy pairing lets you sync a transmitter from across the stage. The handheld runs up to 8 hours on two AA cells or 12 hours on the optional BA 70 pack. The set is offered in the Q1-6 (470.2-526 MHz), R1-6 (520-576 MHz), and R4-9 (552-607.8 MHz) ranges and ships with the EW-D EM receiver, EW-D SKM-S transmitter body, rod antennas, power supply, and rackmount kit.
