RDL AV-DC4 Mono Transformer-Coupled Four-Channel Divider / Combiner
The RDL AV-DC4 is a mono, transformer-coupled audio divider and combiner built around four identical channels, each of which can serve as an input or an output. Studio-quality audio transformers provide galvanic isolation between every channel, so the AV-DC4 splits one source to several destinations or sums several sources to one, all while breaking ground loops and holding hum out of the signal path. It works with balanced, low or high impedance line audio at a nominal +4 dBu.
Input and output connections are on XLR jacks with gold-plated contacts, and each channel carries its own GND LIFT switch to disconnect the shield from circuit ground at audio frequencies. Frequency response runs 20 Hz to 20 kHz within a hair of flat, with insertion loss of about 1 dB in a single in/out path. The chassis is rugged enough for portable use, and a mounting bracket is included for fixed installations.
