RDL D-RC2M
The RDL D-RC2M is a two-channel remote audio mixing control that adds a mute button to each channel. Like the level-only D-RC2, it gives a user simple, direct control of two sources from a wall location while the mixer stays out of sight, but the two illuminated MUTE buttons let a presenter drop a microphone or a program feed instantly. Each button alternately mutes and un-mutes its channel, with an LED that glows red when the signal is muted and green when the audio is active.
The control connects to an RDL remote-controlled mixer through a rear-panel RJ45 jack over standard twisted-pair wiring, which carries the knob-position and muting data to the mixer. All audio stays local to the mixer, which uses VCA technology to set the levels, and a long-life 10 kohm potentiometer sets the VCA voltage for each channel. The D-RC2M mounts on a Decora-style plate and ships in RDL White/Gray, with a stainless-steel version available.
