RDL PT-AMG2

The RDL PT-AMG2 combines three field tools in one portable box: a precision 700 Hz audio oscillator, a precision level meter and a monitor speaker. The 700 Hz tone is chosen so a technician can listen to the signal for extended stretches without the ear fatigue that a 1 kHz oscillator brings, making it a practical companion for verifying, aligning and troubleshooting audio systems on site or on the bench.

The oscillator provides a balanced output that is front-panel switchable between MIC and LINE level plus an unbalanced -10 dBV output, and the metering section reads two inputs on an LED meter with an IN-PHASE indicator that lights when the oscillator output and the measured input are in phase. A front-panel volume knob sets the built-in monitor speaker, and balanced reference levels can be preset to +4 dBu or +6 dBu. The PT-AMG2 runs on two internal 9-volt batteries or an external 12 to 30 Vdc supply, and ships with test leads and a bench-top support bracket.
