The AG-CX20 is a compact 4K professional camcorder built around a 1/2.5-type MOS sensor with approximately 8.29 million effective pixels, paired with a 25-600mm (35mm equivalent) integrated 24x optical zoom. i.Zoom extends reach to 32x in 4K and 48x in Full HD without a visible resolution penalty, and five-axis hybrid stabilization keeps handheld shots steady. At roughly 0.85 kg for the body alone, it is light enough for run-and-gun event and broadcast work while still recording true 4K 60p in 10-bit.

Recording covers MOV, MP4, AVCHD, and P2 MXF across dual SD card slots, and the camera outputs 3G-SDI and HDMI simultaneously alongside NDI HX2 IP connectivity for network-based production. Built-in streaming support for SRT and RTMP lets it go direct to a platform without an encoder. The built-in stereo microphone handles run-and-gun audio, and the optional VW-HU1 handle unit adds two XLR inputs for professional sources.
