OConnor 30L Carbon Fiber Tripod

The 30L replaced OConnor's 25L and 35L legs with a single two-stage carbon fiber tripod built around the 100 mm bowl, which makes it the natural partner for the Ultimate 1030D, 1030Ds and 1040 heads. It weighs 8.8 lb (4 kg) and carries 209 lb (95 kg), and the double extension design holds that rating out to its full height rather than only when the lower stage is retracted.

Height runs 22 to 61.8 in (56 to 157 cm) and it collapses to 29.5 in (75 cm), so it travels in a normal case despite the range. The quick clamping system gives a visible lockdown, which means an assistant can confirm the legs are set at a glance instead of by feel, and the integral spreader system deploys without a separate part to lose. Removable rubber feet expose spikes underneath for traction on grass, gravel or a raked stage.
