OConnor C1261-0001 DCM Turns an OConnor Tripod Into a Dolly
The DCM turns an OConnor tripod into a dolly. It is the smaller of OConnor's two wheeled dollies, sized specifically for the 30L and 60L tripods, and it exists for the very ordinary problem of having to move a built camera to the next setup without breaking it down. Drop the tripod feet into the dolly, and repositioning becomes a push instead of a teardown. On a smooth studio floor the same rig doubles as a working dolly for horizontal moves, which is a lot of capability for 9.8 lb of aluminum.
The details are what make it usable on a real set. Track locks let you switch the castors between free castoring, straight tracking, and tricycle steer, so you can commit the dolly to a line and know it will hold it. Fast-action foot brakes stop it where you want it, and adjustable cable guards push cable and tape out of the way of the 4 in. castors instead of letting them ride up. It folds fast, has a carry handle built into the frame, and collapses to 26 in. for the truck. Payload capacity is 210 lb (95 kg), which comfortably covers the 209 lb the 60L itself is rated to carry.
