OConnor 120EXe Fluid Head Package

The 120EX is the only head that balances a payload range from 30 lb to 240 lb (14 to 109 kg), and it does it by treating tilt range as something you can spend. At the full plus or minus 90 degrees it carries 120 lb (54 kg) at an 8 in centre of gravity. Restrict the tilt to plus or minus 80 degrees and it takes 147 lb; at 70 degrees, 188 lb; at 60 degrees, 240 lb (109 kg). That is EX mode, and it is what lets a single head sit under a fully dressed feature camera without a second, heavier support in the truck.

This is the 120EXe package, built on the special Mitchell-only 120EXe head (C1226-1000). It ships with the 2575-137 pan handle and 2575-135 extension, the C1225-1007 geared platform plate assembly for driving heavy payloads fore and aft while balancing, the special Mitchell base (C1226-1001) and the C1234-1018 Mitchell tiedown. Fluid drag is the usual OConnor stepless system, and the head weighs 34.1 lb (15.5 kg).
