OConnor Camera Assistant Bag

This is a bag built by people who have watched a fluid head get set down in a wet field. The liner is water and dust proof with no seams in the base, rated to a 1.2 m (4 ft) column of water, so ground water and rain stay out. The lid hinges open and its stays can fix either to the inner liner or to the D rings, which means the bag can sit open on set with the gear inside still protected rather than having to be closed every time it rains.

Inside are five heavy-duty double-sided velcro dividers designed to tie OConnor heads and accessories down rather than merely separate them, plus two right-angled dividers for accessories and elasticated points for pan bars and ARRI plates. Clear mesh pockets on the lid and inside the front pocket let you see what is in each. There is a slate, document and call sheet pocket with a cover and a business card holder. D rings front and back take the supplied leather strap for a sherpa-style carry that puts the weight across your back, and they double as fixing points for rucksack straps or carabiners. Exterior is 22 x 14.5 x 13.5 in (57 x 37 x 34 cm) and the bag fits inside a standard Pelicase 1620.
