The CBT 200LA-1 is a two-metre column made of two one-metre halves joined by a coupler plate, carrying thirty-two 50 mm full-range drivers. Beyond the narrow and broad vertical modes it adds an asymmetrical progressive-gradient setting, which tilts the energy down the room rather than at the front rows.

Constant Beamwidth Technology is analogue delay beam-forming plus amplitude tapering across the driver column. The point is consistent vertical coverage without the narrow beaming and out-of-coverage lobing that plain passive columns produce, which is why these turn up in reverberant rooms where intelligibility is the whole job. Each half has its own 70/100 V transformer with 120 W, 60 W and 30 W taps, or direct 8 ohm operation; wired through, the pair is 4 ohms total. Get the polarity of the two halves identical or the array will not behave. Screw-down terminal strips, a swivel and tilt bracket and the coupler plate are included, and the cabinet is IP-55 rated with the optional MTC-PC2 cover.
