Gitzo GC2560 / GC5560 Tripod Leg Warmer

Carbon tubes take on whatever temperature the location is, and a tripod carried on the shoulder for an hour puts all its weight through one narrow leg. The leg warmer wraps the upper section in a padded sleeve, so the carry is on foam rather than on a cold or sun-baked tube and the leg picks up the knocks instead of the finish.

The inside face is non-slip rubber, so it grips the tube rather than rotating as you walk and gives a firmer hold when you are setting legs by feel in the dark. The GC2560 is cut for Series 1 and 2 legs, the GC5560 for the thicker Series 3 to 5 tubes; both are a single sleeve for the leg you actually carry on.
