Gitzo Lateral Arm
Copy work, macro and product shots all run into the same problem: the camera needs to be over the subject, and the tripod legs are in the way. The lateral arm clamps to a tripod leg section and carries the head out to the side, or rotates to a 90 degree position so the camera sits directly above or below the apex.
The G532 is the sliding version, aluminium, 0.51 kg and 45.5 cm closed, adjusted by releasing a collar and pushing the arm through. The G535 is geared, trading weight and price for repeatable, controlled travel under a loaded head. Both terminate in a reversible 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch stud, so any Gitzo head fits without an adapter.
