Gitzo GS3321SP / GS5321SP Flat Top Plate, Systematic

This is the plate that comes in the box with a new Systematic tripod, sold separately for the two situations that always happen: it went into a case with the other legs and never came back, or the tripod lives with a levelling base or a bowl fitted and you want the flat top ready to swap in. It carries a 3/8 inch female thread, so any flat-based photo or video head bolts straight on.

The underside is machined for the safety catch on current Systematic legs, so the insert locks in rather than resting in place. There is also a hook underneath for hanging a sandbag or a camera bag, which is the cheapest stability you can add to a tripod already set up. The GS3321SP fits Series 2, 3 and 4; the GS5321SP is the Series 5 part.
