ESE ES461U SMPTE/EBU Time Code Generator

The ES-461U is a microprocessor-based, presettable SMPTE time code generator. Time or user bits are preset from front-panel thumbwheel switches, and the generator can be jam-synced to an external SMPTE source through a rear female XLR, with SMPTE output on a rear male XLR. A loop-thru video sync input on two BNCs accepts composite video or sync, a color frame input is provided on a further BNC, and a clock hold function freezes the count.

Time code output is 0 dB into 600 ohms balanced; time code input accepts 100 mVpp to 10 Vpp unbalanced; video in and out run 1 to 2 Vpp unterminated; and drift is rated at 2 seconds per day. The unit is housed in a 1.75" x 19" x 10" deep rack enclosure with a black anodized front panel and runs on 117 VAC 50/60 Hz, with 220 VAC 50/60 Hz optionally available.
