ESE ES263 Portable SMPTE Time Code Generator

The ES-263 is a portable, presettable SMPTE time code generator small enough to wear on a belt. Its microprocessor is preset from front-panel controls (hours and minutes are settable, while seconds and frames start at 00:00), and it generates either time data or user bits, with user bits presettable in hexadecimal 0 to F. SMPTE code comes out unbalanced at 2 VPP on a rear RCA, and a rear BNC accepts composite video or sync to lock the generator to a video reference.

A rechargeable internal battery runs the unit for up to ten hours per charge, and an AC wall adapter/charger is included. Drop-frame and non-drop-frame modes are both supported, and PAL and/or EBU operation can be specified as an option. The enclosure includes a belt clip and measures 3.6"W x 2.3"H x 6"D at about 1 lb.
