ESE ES-466E SMPTE Presettable 24 Hour Up/Down Timer

The ES-466E is a presettable, eight-digit 24-hour up/down timer that doubles as an SMPTE time code generator, counting 00:00:00:00 to 23:59:59:29 on amber LED digits while simultaneously putting SMPTE code out on a balanced XLR connector. That makes it a source of house-referenced timer readout and record-ready time code from the same front panel.

Front-panel Up, Down, Stop, Reset and Preset controls set the count via thumbwheel entry of hours, minutes and seconds, bit order is selectable Forward/Reverse or Forward-only to match different deck conventions, and EBU output is available as a factory option alongside standard SMPTE. Option Y adds a relay contact closure at zero, option Z stops the count at zero, and option P adds a 1.75 inch rackmount enclosure.
