ESE ES-299E IRIG Based NTP Time Server
The ES-299E bridges a facility's existing IRIG time code infrastructure onto the network, reading IRIG A, B, E, or NASA36 (carrier or TTL, via BNC) and putting that time onto the LAN as NTP over a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port. It is built for the same rugged desktop enclosure ESE uses across its time products, and a voltage-controlled oscillator carries it through brief signal loss without a visible time jump.
Beyond NTP, it also outputs ESE (TC90) time code and a TTL lock-status signal for legacy equipment. Network security is handled with MD5 or SHA1 symmetric key authentication, full IPv4/IPv6 compatibility, and SNMP v1, v2, and v3 support, and day-to-day configuration and monitoring runs through an embedded HTTP or HTTPS web interface with front-panel LED status indicators.
