dbx AFS2 Advanced Feedback Suppression Processor
The AFS2 hunts down ringing frequencies before they build into feedback, running two independent channels of automatic suppression through dbx's Type IV conversion system for over 119 dB of dynamic range on the way in. It is built to sit between a mixer and an amplifier in houses of worship, conference rooms, and touring systems where a live mic has to stay open without howling.
Each channel carries its own XLR and 1/4 inch TRS input and output, electronically balanced and RF filtered, with over +20 dBu of headroom at both ends. Conversion runs 24-bit at 48 kHz, and the 1U chassis draws 9 watts from a universal 100-120 or 220-240 VAC supply.
