dbx 530 Parametric Equalizer (500 Series)

The 530 gives a 500 Series rack a 3-band parametric with symmetrical peak/dip response on every band and an Infinite Notch mode on each for pulling a problem frequency out by more than 40 dB. High and low bands switch to symmetrical shelving when a broader tonal move is called for instead of a surgical cut.

The low band sweeps 20 Hz to 500 Hz, the mid band 200 Hz to 5 kHz, and the high band 800 Hz to 20 kHz, each with plus or minus 15 dB of range. Input and output are electronically balanced and RF filtered, accepting and delivering up to plus 22 dBu, with frequency response flat to within a decibel across the audio band.
