Crestron INET-IOEX-IRCOM infiNET EX Wireless IR/RS-232 Control Module
Getting a control wire to a display in a finished wall is the expensive part of a retrofit. The INET-IOEX-IRCOM removes it: the module sits beside the equipment it controls and reaches the processor over the infiNET EX 2.4 GHz mesh, so anything driveable by an IR remote or a serial command joins the system without cutting drywall or pulling conduit. It carries two discrete IR output ports and one bidirectional RS-232 port, and stores frequently used IR codes on board for faster response.
The RS-232 port runs up to 115.2k baud with software handshaking and reports data overflow back to the control system, which is worth knowing because the port is meant for devices that exchange short packets rather than streams. Front-panel LEDs show power, gateway link, per-port IR activity, COM transmit and receive, and overflow. The module surface mounts on two integral flanges and runs from the included PW-0510WUL 5 VDC power pack; two IRP2 emitters are in the box. It requires an infiNET EX gateway and is compatible with 3-Series control systems only.
