Crestron HZ2-DIMEX Horizon 2 In-Wall Forward Phase Dimmer

The HZ2-DIMEX is a Horizon 2 in-wall forward phase dimmer that puts incandescent, magnetic low voltage, and tungsten-halogen loads on an infiNET EX wireless network. It handles 750 W/VA with no minimum load, has a switching mode for nondimmable fixtures, and lets the installer set minimum and maximum light levels and pick a linear, logarithmic, or custom dimming curve. Line, load, neutral, and remote all land on color-coded screw clamp terminals that take 14-12 AWG, and an air-gap switch at the bottom of the device cuts power to the dimmer and its load.

The face is a keypad, not just a paddle: up to five buttons in any of the six HZ2-BTNS styles, with RGB backlights that follow a local color theme and an ambient light sensor that swaps day and night backlight modes. Standard models ship with default dot engraving on a Style 6 large rocker; ENGRAVED models ship with your own laser-etched legends on the style you choose. infiNET EX gives roughly 150 ft indoors to the nearest mesh device and needs a Crestron wireless gateway; up to four HZ2-AUX or HZ2-KPEX remotes wire to the traveler for three- and four-way control. Faceplates are the HZ2-FP-G series and are sold separately.
