Crestron CLX-1FAN4 4-Channel Fan Speed Control Module
The CLX-1FAN4 puts ceiling fans on the Crestron lighting bus instead of leaving them on a pull chain or a separate wall control. Each of its four channels drives one fan motor at 2 Amps with four preset speeds plus off, for an 8 Amp module total on a 120 Volt single-phase feed. Because the speeds are presets rather than a continuous ramp, a scene can call a room to a known state and get it every time.
CLX modules mount in a Crestron CAEN or CAEN-MLO wall enclosure and bus their low-voltage control between one another on a five-wire link, terminating at a CAEN-BLOCK at the bottom of the cabinet, which is what keeps a large centralized system to one Cresnet drop. High-voltage wiring lands on a separate CLT terminal block, sold separately, so the electrician can terminate the feeders before the module is ever fitted.
