Crestron CHVI-RTS-1G-SM-W Surface Mount Remote Temperature Sensor, White
Retrofits rarely come with a spare back box. The CHVI-RTS-1G-SM-W is the surface-mounting remote temperature sensor: it attaches directly to a flat wall over a 25 mm round hole, and will equally sit over a 1-gang BS 4662 or DIN 49073 box where one exists. No faceplate is needed.
It connects to the thermostat over a single non-polarized twisted pair on a 2-pin 3.5 mm detachable terminal block, at up to 152 m over CAT5e, and reads -18 to 43 degrees C with a tolerance of 0.5 degrees C over the full range. It works with the HZ-THSTAT, CHV-TSTAT, CHV-THSTAT, CHV-TSTAT-FCU, CHV-TSTATEX and CHV-TSTATEX-FCU thermostat series and with C2N-LCDB3 keypads. The housing is white plastic, 80 by 80 by 30 mm and 54 g.
