Crestron CHV-RTS Remote Temperature Sensor
A thermostat mounted by the door reads the temperature by the door. The CHV-RTS moves the measurement to where the room is actually occupied: a 1.50 in. wall-mounted disc that reports back to a Crestron thermostat over a single non-polarized twisted pair, accurate to 1 degree F across its range.
It protrudes about 1/8 in. from the wall and its primed metal cap takes paint or wallpaper, so once decorated it is close to invisible. It drops into a 1 in. round hole in drywall, and CAT5 or similar low-capacitance cable carries it up to 500 ft back to the thermostat. The optional MMK-RS kit, sold separately, simplifies rough-in during construction and allows a fully flush or non-drywall surface installation.
