BSS BLU-160 Modular Signal Processor
The BLU-160 pairs the same four-card-slot, up to 16-channel modular I/O as the BLU-120, analog, digital, AEC, or telephone hybrid cards in any mix, with an 800 MHz DSP engine on board, double the BLU-100's processing budget, for systems that need heavier signal processing across more channels. Like the rest of the London range it runs on a 256-channel, low-latency, fault-tolerant BLU link bus over Cat5e, extendable well beyond 100m with fiber converters.
EN 54-16 compliance qualifies it for life safety and voice alarm systems in public buildings, and its card-slot design lets a system grow or reconfigure its I/O mix as a building's needs change without swapping the whole processor. It configures in HiQnet Audio Architect alongside every other BLU-series device, and is BSS's processor of choice for a large venue or a multi-zone life-safety audio system.
