BSS BLU-120 Modular I/O Expander
The BLU-120 is an I/O expander rather than a signal processor: four card slots accept analog, digital, AEC, or telephone hybrid modules in any mix, so a system designer configures the exact input and output count a room needs, up to 16 channels total, instead of paying for fixed I/O that doesn't match the job. It carries the same 256-channel, low-latency, fault-tolerant BLU link digital audio bus as the rest of BSS's London range, running over standard Cat5e cable up to 100m or fiber for longer runs.
It is EN 54-16 compliant for life safety and voice alarm applications, a requirement in many public-building fire and evacuation systems that a standard AV processor does not meet. Logic processing handles contact-closure integration for fire panels, paging triggers, or building automation, and it configures inside HiQnet Audio Architect alongside every other BLU-series device on the network.
