Blackmagic Ultimatte 12 HD

Ultimatte 12 HD is a real time compositing processor for HD virtual sets, augmented reality graphics, and green screen work. It brings the Ultimatte keying engine to a compact half rack unit, holding clean edges on hair, motion blur, and translucent objects while keeping foreground color and lighting believable against the composited background. Because the key runs live, the result is ready for broadcast with no render step.

The HD model provides 5 SDI inputs, 4 SDI outputs, and 1 reclocked loop output at SDI rates of 270Mb, 1.5G, and 3G. A 1Gb/s Ethernet port handles device control and loading stills into the Media Pool. The unit is a half rack width, one rack unit high, and draws 15W. Blackmagic part number BMD-ULTMKEY12/B/HD.
