Avantone Pro CV-12 Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone
The CV-12 is a tube-type true condenser built around a dual-sided 32 mm center-terminated capsule with a 6 micron gold-sputtered Mylar diaphragm. The valve is a mil-spec 6072A rather than the more common 12AY7, chosen for lower noise, and the whole signal path ends at a transformer-isolated output under 250 ohms.
Nine polar patterns are dialed in at the PS-12 power supply rather than on the microphone body, so the engineer changes pattern from the control room without touching the stand. The capsule handles 136 dBSPL at 0.5% THD, or 146 dB with the pad engaged. The kit ships complete: retro shockmount, PS-12 supply with selectable 115/230 VAC, cables, aluminum road case, manual, and the 6072A tube. The CV-12 BLA is the Black Lion Audio modified version.
