Avantone Pro CK-1 FET Small-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone
CK-1 is Avantone's entry small-diaphragm FET condenser, designed to complement the company's C-series drum mics as an overhead but equally at home on acoustic instruments: upright piano, strings, wind instruments, and drum overheads in mono or a matched stereo pair. The milled brass body carries Avantone's Cabernet-red finish with polished nickel-silver accents.
It ships with all three capsule types, cardioid, hypercardioid, and omnidirectional, so the polar pattern is a physical swap rather than a switch, and the metalized polypropylene and polystyrene capacitors used in the circuit are the same grade found in more expensive mics. An SSM shockmount and a padded wooden storage box are included.
