Avantone Pro MONDO Cardioid Dynamic Kick Drum Microphone

MONDO is the kick drum microphone in Avantone's dynamic line and the one that anchors every CDMK kit. Its response starts at 20 Hz, which is well below where most cardioid dynamics roll off, and runs to 15 kHz so the beater attack is still there when you want it. Maximum SPL is 145 dB, so placement inside the shell close to the head is not a problem.

It is a passive dynamic with a 210 ohm output on a 3-pin male XLR and needs no phantom power. The body weighs 16 oz and comes in a cabernet, black, and nickel finish. Beyond kick drums it works on floor toms, bass cabinets, and anything else where a large dynamic and low-end extension matter more than top-end detail.
