Avantone Pro ATOM Cardioid Dynamic Tom Microphone

ATOM is the tom microphone from Avantone's dynamic line, the one that fills out the CDMK kits. It is a cardioid dynamic running 30 Hz to 15 kHz with 145 dB of headroom, which is the right combination for a rack or floor tom close-miked over the head, and it works equally well on snare bottom or a small guitar cabinet.

What makes it practical is the mounting hardware in the box: an SSM metal shockmount and a PK-1 Pro Klamp that grips the drum rim, so no extra stand is needed around the kit. The microphone is passive, 220 ohms out on a 3-pin male XLR, and weighs 13 oz in a cabernet, black, and nickel finish.
